Halifax Photos

  • Angus L. Macdonald Bridge

Evan MacPhail Photography has added a photo to the pool:

    Angus L. Macdonald Bridge

It's also known as "The Old Bridge", having opened on April 2, 1955. The new bridge, almost identical, The A. Murray MacKay Bridge opened on July 10, 1970. That one is also known as "The New Bridge"!
Shot this with my Hipstamatic app on the iPhone. Cropped it and gave the texture treatment.

  • Dartmouth Bridge Terminal

Wilson Hum @ Hfx has added a photo to the pool:

    Dartmouth Bridge Terminal

Metro Transit's Dartmouth Bridge Terminal is one of the most busiest and the most dangerous terminal for passengers. This terminal is out dated in terms of safety when it comes to passengers, wheelchair users and seniors getting on or off the buses. Passengers on the outer lanes have no curb to step down or wheel off onto. Walking or running to catch their connections between and around the buses is dangerous.
Behind these buses at this location is a new bus terminal being built as we speak and hopefully will be finish next fall. The terminal will be better lit with washrooms for both passengers and operators, layover areas for buses and security.

Here in this capture we have a 2010 NovaBus Artic LFS Bus 734 on the route 52 Crosstown to Bayer's Lake and a 2005 New Flyer D40LF Bus 1065 on the route 60 Eastern Passage ready to leave the Dartmouth Bridge Terminal followed by ( 4 ) more New Flyer D40LF's just behind.
